Devious Journal Entry

  • Listening to: Linkin Park: Bleed it Out
  • Reading: StarCraft: Dark Templar Saga
  • Playing: Fallout 3
So they say April showers are suppose to bring May flowers, or something to that effect... in my case though it means the end of a rather fantastic coop term and the beginning of another academic semester. Unfortunately it also means I'll be chained to one desk or another for much of my summer. :ohnoes: My one reprieve is my schedule permits me to get out early most days of the week and enjoy the sun, for a few hours at least. =)

In unrelated news I went to see a few movies with friends in the past week or so. Most notably I saw Xmen: Origins and Star Trek. I have to say, the Xmen movie was quite disappointing. The story was nothing special for the first 3/4 of the movie. No surprise here as I wasn't expecting much more than a good popcorn film anyway. But when the story reached it's climax it fell off the bus and landed in the enchanted world of Michael Bay with scenes that don't make any scene and copious amounts of random destruction... Star Trek was very good though by comparison. J.J. Abrams was able to keep it interesting and humorous all the way though while also keeping it totally in canon. I was very impressed and strongly recommend seeing it if you haven't already.

Byako Round Robin Status: Intermediate

After a year's worth of entries we are finally reaching the home stretch of this tournament, woot! I think thats something to cheer about, especially since we're 9 rounds in and going strong. =) Results are still pending but in the mean time I recommend checking out my opponent Jetpilot55 and his great entry.
